30 Jul Tea for Two Competition
Alongside our prize partners at Kimbridge Barn we launched the fantastic ‘Sunday tea for two’ competition in Summer 2019.
All entrants had to do was tell us why they’d enjoy the prize. Our judging panel were delighted to award the prize to Sally and Steve from Southampton.
Romsey Woodburners co-owner Angie Sheppard says, “It was a fantastic prize and we were very happy to award it to Sally and Steve, who thoroughly deserved it.”
Kimbridge Barn boasts the following:
The charming and relaxed cafe and tea rooms, set within the original building and extending onto a pretty Garden Courtyard, will offer the perfect place to meet with friends and family for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. In warmer months, guests will be able to sit outdoors in the courtyard , brimming with flowers, plants and trees.
The adjacent elegant barn with vaulted ceilings and oak beams will be perfect for dream weddings, special birthdays and large corporate functions, accommodating up to 150 guests. The beautifully rustic barn will extend onto its own private courtyard and rose garden, making the perfect romantic backdrop for wedding photos to be cherished forever. Back inside, the Boot Room will be used for small business meetings and as a place for wedding guests to gather.
The food at Kimbridge Barn will be of the same exceptional quality locals have come to expect from Ideal Collection. The carefully crafted menu has been developed by the group’s executive chef and winner of the Great British Menu 2014, James Durrant, with a range of delicious dishes consisting of only the freshest and finest locally sourced seasonal produce and catering for all dietary requirements. Kimbridge Barn will host supper clubs and special themed evenings that are suited to the season. Sunday lunches are also set to be sensational: leisurely, traditional and a true family affair.
